abstract = "The analyzes from remote sensing are shown as fundamental in order
to verify the current trends found in urban and metropolitan
studies. The present paper aimed to analyze the growth os the
urban spot of the metropole San Miguel de Tucum{\'a}n
(Tucum{\'a}n Province, Argentina) between 1986 and 2015. The
methodology consisted of image use of the sensors Landsat TM 5 and
Landsat TM 8, acquired in electronic address of the United States
Geological Service (USGS), dating from the years 1986 and 2015 in
order to manually sort the urban spot in ArcGIS software 10. The
urban agglomerates of this metropolis, called Gran San Miguel de
Tucum{\'a}n, according to the Ministerio de Planificaci{\'o}n

the expansion area of this metropolis. From the results obtained

department of Yerba Buena (127.29%) relating with the locational
